Final game play began at Level 26 with blinds of 20,000 to 40,000 and antes at 4,000. Crowd favorite, Thomas Hare, an Internet young player and local hopeful, was in Seat 5 with 2,851,000 chips. The seating arrangement and chips count for the rest of the players were:

At the beginning of heads up play, poker pro David Tran had a 2 million chip lead over Gavin Griffin, who played aggressively to emerge as the Borgata Poker Classic champion with his winning hand of Queen spades and Jack clubs to Tran’s King spades and 8 spades. Gavin Griffin’s cash prize totalled $1,401,109 whilst Tran was runner-up with $737,685.
