It’s like a fairy tale for amateur Young Cho to come to the final table as chip leader but nipping at his heels is Daniel Negreanu. Semi-pros Kido Pham and Bryan Sumner have someone else dangerous to worry about, short-stacked pro JC Tran. Here is how the chips looked at the start of play:
Seat 1: Gary Kainer - 514,000
Seat 2: JC Tran - 181,000
Seat 3: Bryan Sumner - 596,000
Seat 4: Kido Pham - 731,000
Seat 5: Young Cho - 2,571,000
Seat 6: Daniel Negreanu - 1,296,000
The first player to eliminated was JC Tran it took the table 92 hands to lose him but here is how it happened; Young Cho who raises to 270,000 with a 9d-7s to take down the pot. Gary Kainer abandons his blind, but JC Tran has already invested 80,000 and makes the call. The flop is 10c-7h-3c and JC moves all in and Cho can’t call fast enough with his middle pair. The turn was the Kd putting JC in front with top pair, but the 9c on the river ruins JC Tran’s plans leaving him with a 6th place finish and $142,810.
The next player eliminated left in a battle of the blinds; Bryan Sumner put Kido Pham all in preflop with Jh 9s and As 2h respectively the board fell Kh 3s 4s 9c 6h which sent Kido to rail in 5th place and $171,372. The next player who left the table was Gary Kainer when he pushed all in with As 2hand got called off Bryan Summer with 9h 9c, there was no help for Gary has the board came 10s Qh Jh 5s 5c. Gary Kainer left with a 4th place and $199,934.
The very nice hand Bryan Sumner finds himself with Ah Ad he announces and a raise and then Toung Cho looks down at 6d 3s and announces to re-raise and pushes all in, a horrible time for him to make his bluff Bryan instantly calls and his aces hold up as the board comes 5s 2d Jc Qh Kh. This makes Young Cho the 3rd place finisher for $257,058.
The blinds were sky high for the last hand when Daniel pushed all in with As 3d but Bryan had caught yet another pair 8d 8c the flop came 8h 5h 4c which gave Bryan 3 of a kind 8s and Daniel a gutshot straight draw he needed a 2 the turn was no help it was a 3c and the river was the Qs. Daniel took the 2nd place and $502,691 but the title went to Bryan along with the $939,486.
