WPT Event - Festa Al Lago



Pelton was living the party life by making his second WPT final table in as many attempts. At the Festa al Lago final table, he had to face five tough professionals if he wanted to take down his second title. This is what the chip stacks looked like at the final table kicked off.

David Baker opened the betting for 90,000 in the cutoff seat. Can Kim Hua, sitting on the button, pushed back for 200,000. Baker moved all-in. Hua called. Baker showed Ah Ac. Hua showed As Ks. The board ran out Th 9h 9s Qs 4h. Hua exited in sixth place for $83,490.

David Baker moved All In with Ac 5s. Pelton called for with KdQs. The board ran out Qh 9c 2d Kh 2h. Baker’s was out in fifth place, earning $125,240 in prize money.

Loveland came in for a raise to 150,000 with 7h 7c. Andreas Walnum looked down at Ad Kc and made it 600,000. Loveland moved All-In and got an immediate call from Walnum. The board ran out 9c 9d Ac 8d 8h. Chris Loveland was eliminated in fourth place, picking up $197,745 for his efforts.

Pelton limped into the small blind with Jh 9d. Walnum raised to 150,000 from the big blind. Pelton called and the flop was Kd 8h 7h and Walnum fired out 350,000. Pelton moved All-In. Walnum called with a pair of 3s there was no help on the turn or river and Pelton finished in third place and earned another $292,220 in prize money.

Steve limped in from the small blind, Walnum raised it to 175,000 and Walnum called. The flop came out 2c Jh Kh. Walnum bet out 200,000 and Wong called. The turn was the 8c. This time Walnum checked and Wong bet out 400,000. Walnum made it 800,000 and Wong called. The river was the 5d. Walnum moved all in and Wong quickly made the call. Walnum showed 2h 2s for a flopped set. Wong held Kd 4c and toke second place earning $542,700. Andreas Walnum became a World Poker Tour champion and $1,090,025 richer.
