The fourth season of the World Poker Tour has come to a close, and the results are in for all of the events. There were 17 events during the season, with multiple events taking place at some of the major stops on the tour like the Borgata, the Commerce, The Bellagio and Foxwoods.
The opening tournament of the season was the Mirage Poker Showdown in May of 2005.
Players then headed across the Atlantic to the Aviation Club in Paris for the European event of the season, the Grand Prix de Paris.
A month later, at the end of August, the tour held it's third event. This was the Legends of Poker tournament in Bell Gardens, at the "Bike" (the Bicycle Casino).
The tour then crossed the entire country to set up shop at the Borgata in Atlantic City during the stretch of Sept 19-22nd. Here players participated in the Borgata Poker Open.
The very next week everyone headed into the Caribbean sunshine to play the Ultimate Bet Aruba Poker Classic.
The Doyle Brunson North American Poker Championship was held at the Bellagio in Vegas Oct18th-21st.
Back to the east coast in early November for the playing of the World Poker Finals at the Foxwoods Resort Casino in CT.
The 5 Diamond World Poker Classic was the next event of the tour, held back at the Bellagio in Las Vegas between December 12th-16th.
The first tournament of the new year took place back in the warm glow of the Caribbean. The PokerStars.net Caribbean Poker Adventure was a welcoming location for a poker tournament.
Later in January (the 19th-23rd, 2006) the tour settled down in Mississippi. Tunica, at the Gold Strike Casino to be exact, for the playing of the World Poker Open.
The next week players went back to Atlantic City for another stop at the Borgata. This time the event was the Borgata Poker Classic.
After a two week break the tour heads back across country again for a stop and stay at the Commerce Casino in California. First to play the L.A. Poker Classic and then to hold the WPT Invitational.
Staying in California for the next event, the Bay 101 Shooting Star tournament, players pend the days between Feb 27th and March 3rd in competition.
The end of March brings the World Poker Challenge with a stop in Reno Nevada.
April brings a close to the fourth season of the World Poker Tour with the Foxwoods Poker Classic (April 6-9th) and the season finale, The WPT World Championship hosted at the Bellagio.
