At the final table, the 6 players were:
Seat 1 - Hoyt Corkins, $1,207,500
Seat 2 - Mohammed Ibrahim, $376,500
Seat 3 - Brian Haveson, $135,000
Seat 4 - Chris Ackerman, $333,000
Seat 5 - V. Senthil Kumar, $245,000
Seat 6 - Phil Hellmuth, Jr., $845,000

Hellmuth limped in with Kd Td, Mohammed joined him with Kc Jc, and Haveson went all-in on his A T offsuit. Phil folded, but Ibrahim called. A board of J T 9 5 J came out, Haveson was out in 6th place, worth $117,375.

Senthil’s looked down to find K K. He raised, and when Ibrahim, with A T offsuit, went over the top all-in, Kumar called. The flop came 9 6 4, and the turn came Q, but the A on the riversent home in 5th place finisher, $164,325 richer.

With a suited K-9, Hellmuth raised $25,000, and Hoyt called with offsuit A J. Flop came A K T, and Phil checked, then called Hoyt’s $80,000 raise, a K on the turn Phil checked, Hoyt checked too, a A came on the river. Hellmuth checked, then called Corkins’ $125,000 bet, and once again Hoyt crushed him showing his ace.

Phil bounced back in the next hand, busting out Ackerman, with a set of aces. Chris walked with $226,925 for his 4th place finish.

It was now or never for the desperately short-stacked Hellmuth. He had A 6 offsuit, and pushed all-in, and Ibrahim called with J T. After a K Q 7 flop gave him the open ended straight draw, the turn came an A to make his nut straight. Phil Hellmuth, Jr. took his place on the rail with $281,700 for his 3rd place finish.

The final hand was a simple one Hoyt’s pair of aces held up, sending Mohammed Ibrahim home with $563,400. Hoyt Corkins, took 1st place worth $1,089,200, and a seat at the $25,000 seat at the WPT Championship.
