WPT Boot Camp
Besides the series of poker tournaments, the World Poker Tour has put together a series of conferences/seminars in the form of a "Boot Camp" for attendees. These events are hosted by some of the top pros in the game, and allow non-professionals a chance to learn, in person, from some of the best in the game.

Buying In To A WPT Event
You don't have to qualify to play in a World Poker Tour event.
That's one of the attractions; any player who can come up with the
entry fee can play in a World Poker Tour event along with the big
time pro's. Entry fees for WPT events generally run $10,000 + a $200
entry fee, and you're only on tv if you make it to the final table.
Winning a Satellite to Qualify for a World Poker Tour Event
This is, to me, the more interesting way to play in the WPT. In
fact, I've had a policy that if I can't win my way into a big
tourney, I probably don't belong in the tourney anyway, but that
might be because my bankroll is relatively small compared to the
stakes involved in this kind of major tournament.
