This
page is part of our
where to play poker series of guides at Unknown Poker. 5 card
stud is a lot of fun, but it's not played very often, and like
pineapple poker and
5 card draw, it's not always easy to find a cardroom online that
offers the game. Eventually I'll add a section about how to play 5
card stud as a companion piece to this artcle about
where to play 5 card stud online, but I haven't gotten to that
yet.
Unfortunately, since 5 card stud isn't a big game anymore,
you're not going to see a lot of action at the 5 card stud tables.
Probably the places where you'll find the most people playing five
card stud is at some of the
Prima Poker rooms. I'm not entirely sure that all Prima rooms
offer five card stud poker, but I'm pretty sure that some of them
do, so check out our review and give one of them a try.
My other recommendation for five card stud poker is
Paradise Poker. There is almost always one 5 card stud table
running there, but seldom more than the one table. But the good news
is that Paradise Poker offers really good customer support and cool
software, so you'll have a lot of fun there, even if you have to
spend some time playing Texas holdem or seven card stud instead.
I understand that World Poker Exchange and Poker Club also
occasionally have 5 card stud games available, but I can't make a
recommendation for either of them, as I've never played at them.
