This page is a work in progress (but aren't they all?) It's intended
to eventually be the index page for an entire section of this site
devoted to where to play certain poker games online, because not all
poker sites offer all poker games. Also, not all poker sites are
compatible with all computers.
Poker Games
Where to play 5 card draw online
This was the first entry in this series of articles. 5 card draw is
the classic "kitchen-table" poker game that most of us learned to
play as kids. It's available at surprisingly few
online poker rooms.
Badugi - This is a version of draw poker (triple draw actually), and it is a lowball game. Interestingly, you only use four cards to play the game. It has made it's debut in Vegas and is also being played online.
Where to play pineapple poker
If you've never played pineapple holdem or its closely related crazy
pineapple cousin, you should give yourself a treat and try it. It's
played a lot like Texas holdem, only you get an extra hole card.
Where to play 5 card stud online
5 card stud is one of the first games I learned after 5 card draw,
and I still love it. I'm saddened that so few people play it any
more.
Where to play high stakes Texas holdem online
Finding Texas holdem games online is a no-brainer, especially if you
play low-limits. But if you're looking for high stakes action, you
have fewer choices.
Where to play heads up poker
If you like the action and intensity of 1 on 1 poker, then you might
have trouble finding a site to accommodate you. Party Poker is the
biggest cardroom online, and they don't offer heads-up games. Our
guide gives you several options to choose from.
Where to play poker tournaments online
All poker sites offer tournaments, but not all poker sites offer a
good selection of tournaments with lots of players, or a selection
of times at which to play, or even a selection of games to play. Our
guide to poker tournaments makes some solid suggestions about where
to play if you're a tourney player.
Where to play freerolls
If you're broke, and you want to play poker for free, then there's
possibly no better way than to play in some of the constant
freerolls going on at some of the various poker sites. Our guide to
freerolls includes some advice on how to play as well as where to
find these freeroll tournaments.
Where to play poker in Las Vegas - Poker rooms in Vegas
A directory of poker rooms in Las Vegas. Includes information about
games and limits available at the different cardrooms in Vegas.
Where to Play Caribbean Stud poker
A popular progressive casino poker game that got its start on
Caribbean cruises and is now a mainstay of landbased casinos. This
article suggests places to play Caribbean Stud online.
I'll have more poker games and where to play them to post in this
section very soon.
Software Compatibility
Where to play mac compatible online poker.
A lot of people use
Macintosh, even though it's not as prevalent as the PC, and a lot of
times they have trouble finding poker rooms at which they can play
online. Our guide gives some recommendations for our Mac using
friends.
