Poker Games & Stakes

The Wynn cardroom offers Texas holdem at the following stakes:

• $4/$8
• $8/$16
• $15/$30
• $30/$60
• $40/$80 and up.

The rake at $4/8 and $8/16 is $4 maximum. The rake at $30/60 on up is timed.

The Wynn also offers no limit holdem at the following stakes:

• $1/$2, $100 minimum and no maximum.
• $2/$5, $200 minimum and no maximum.
• $10/$20, $500 minimum and no maximum.

They also offer are various stud and Omaha games and limits, depending on player interest. The Wynn doesn't offer tournaments though.

Players & Facilities

The Wynn offers is a daily poker room rate of $129 from Sunday to Thursday and $199 on Friday and Saturday.

The card room at the Wynn is busy. There are 27 tables in the poker room at the Wynn and yet the waiting time on weekends can be anywhere upwards of 15 minutes. There is a daily play requirement of six hours to receive the special poker player room rate.

This room has comfortable chairs and a good mix of players, but the tables have no drink holders. About half of the players at these tables are regulars while the rest are visitors.

The dealers and the cocktail service are both great. They have a card swiping system in place. The televisions here are not really big and the management seems more concerned about filling the higher limit games than the lower limit games, which is probably understandable from their point of view.
