The Sunset Station poker room has Texas holdem available with a rake of 10 percent / $3
maximum at the $2/$4 game. The rake is 5 percent/$3 maximum at all
other games. Sunset Station's cardroom doesn't offer stud, but Omaha
and tournaments are both available.
Smoking is allowed in the Sunset Station poker room from midnight to 8 am
only.
The Sunset Station poker room has 12
tables and the waiting time on weekends never exceeds 15 minutes.
The room is clean and neat but no frills here.
It is not too
crowded and most people here are serious people looking for a good
game. The early and mid-morning sees mostly locals and regulars,
many of whom are seniors or elderly people. As the day progresses
the crowd gets younger and more boisterous. Late night games are
usually always stiff competition.
Sunset Station's dealers are skilled and efficient, and
they know how to put people at ease. Cocktail waitresses are good looking
and their service is quick. You can also pull up a drink cart and
keep your glass there if you are not happy with the drink holders on
the tables. The wait lists are not automated but still the
management is efficient and does not give cause for complaint.
