The poker room at the Stratosphere is comfortable and conveniently locate. It is near the exit which leads to the parking garage. It is also adjacent to the sports book and the bar. This means the drinks reach you pretty fast and they keep coming. The servers fare well in the looks department too.

There are faint sounds of the slot machine drifting in but it is not really distracting. There are eight tables here which see a good mix of locals and tourists. Most of the dealers are new to their jobs, but still seem quite efficient. Not many mistakes made and very friendly people. The management is in the process of computerizing the waiting list system and this should be accomplished soon. There is also a plan to automate comps so players can swipe their cards and be credited about $1 for each hour of play.
