Stardust Poker Room
Update:
On Tuesday March 13, 2007 at 5:33 a.m., the Stardust Resort was imploded in a grand ceremony which included fireworks prior to the East and West Towers' tumble.
Prior to the closing of the casino, they played poker at the Stardust. Here is a review from those days.
Texas holdem and stud are available at the Stardust's poker room,
although the latter is
usually only available on weekends. Tournaments are also held here.
The daily room
rate for poker players is $30 from Sunday to Thursday and $45 on Friday and Saturday.
There is a daily play requirement of three hours.
The poker room at Stardust has 10 tables and the waiting time on
weekends can be anywhere from ten to thirty minutes. The poker room
is now smoke-free.
Big players don't play at the Stardust. It's almost exclusively a
low stakes cardroom.
Most players
here know their cards well and are ready to take on competition. The
novices, attracted by lower limits, take a real hit here. Dealers
are great and the drinks keep coming.
Four to five hours of play will usually fetch you a
$5 voucher for food. These are good for one month.
