The poker room at Sam’s Town has Texas holdem $4/$8 with $1/$2
blinds and $4/$8 with half kill. The rake is 5 percent with a $3 maximum.
If there are enough interested players on the weekends, they also
deal no limit. 7 card stud and Omaha are also both available.
Although Sam’s Town only has nine tables, the waiting time on weekends
rarely exceed 15 minutes.
Players can have free coffee and also make local calls free of
charge. Not all tables have shufflers and the room has a nice look
and style to it. This room is not for beginners since most of the
players are experienced and are tough competition.
The dealers are
also real pros at what they do. They are real veterans who never
skip a beat. They also have a knack for putting rude players in
their place quickly. The drinks are good but the same cannot be
said of the service, which is slow.
You can call ahead and get your name listed before you
come in and save yourself some waiting time. The management has a
good record for resolving issues fairly and speedily.
