The Mirage poker room offers various high and low limit Texas holdem games. The
maximum rake on each of the Texas holdem games is 10 percent or $4.
For no limit holdem games there is a $100 minimum / $500 maximum
buy-in. There is also a 10 percent or $4 maximum rake. The Mirage
offers stud, Omaha, and tournaments.
The card room at the Mirage holds 31 tables but, it's insanely
popular, and the wait time on weekends can range from 30 minutes to
an hour. Smoking is not allowed in
the poker room of the Mirage.
The daily room rate for poker players is $99 Sunday
through Thursday and $139 on Friday and Saturday. The daily play
requirement is 8 hours on Friday and Saturday and 6 hours on other
days.
The room is well-maintained and well-lit. The competition here
is tough, and it is not a good idea for beginners to try their
luck here. But at the same time, the players here are quite loaded
and spend quite a bit of money.
The dealers are quite good here and
the cocktail waitresses though not very quick, are good-looking. The
service particularly slows down when the room is crowded. The
management is outstanding and handles situations very well. Those who
play for at least four hours are eligible for a $15 food voucher
redeemable at most of the casino’s restaurants. But you should ask
the manager for this or you might miss it. Sandwiches also make the
round of the poker room in the wee hours of the morning.
