The poker room at the Green Valley Ranch has Texas Holdem with
10% / $4 max rake. They also have No Limit Holdem and Omaha. The
$1/2 No Limit Holdem has a minimum $100 and maximum $200 buy-in. The
$3/5 NL Holdem has a minimum $300 and a maximum $500 buy-in. There
are no tournaments and the room has about 11 tables.
Waiting time on weekends can often be more than 30 minutes and there
is no poker room rate. This room is a no smoking area and has a
sports bar look and feel to it. There are plenty of flat-screen and
other televisions here and everyone in the room can easily view
these. There is a full bar in the middle of the room and all the
interiors are done in burgundy with color coordinated furniture and
upholstery. Each table has an auto shuffler and the tables are
comfortably spaced. There are plenty of locals visiting here, who
undoubtedly enjoy the ambience in the poker room. Dealers are
experienced and competent and the waitresses are pretty and
efficient. But often when the room is packed service becomes slower
and this is one shortcoming the management needs to rectify.
Speaking of which, the managers need to get some training on what
their duties are. Often seats remain empty for quite some time and
those waiting can get frustrated at this kind of mismanagement.
