Texas
Holdem and No Limit Holdem are both available at Binions. No Limit
has a $100 minimum buy-in and no maximum. Stud is available at $1-$5
and so is Omaha $4/$8 (with a half-kill). Tournaments are also held
in the Binion’s poker room.
The waiting time on weekends at Binions is between 5 and 15
minutes. The room has 14 tables with tournament tables separated
from the cash tables. The room is old and looks run down, but this
adds to its charm and gives it the feel of an old style poker room.
Smoking is not allowed here.
Binions is popular with local poker players, but they also get
their share of tourists. The poker room managers are seasoned
professionals and know how to keep visitors happy and entertained.
On the other hand, the waitresses are both average-looking and
provide average service. This is one factor that goes against this
poker room because the bar is not very close and even if players
wanted to get their own drinks, they are unable to. Binion's
food is good and cheap though.
