Poker Room ReviewsReviews of the Online Poker Rooms This is one of those pages that may grow pretty big, so if you'd like to skip right to a certain area, feel free to choose between:

  • Major Poker Rooms
  • Mid-Sized Rooms
  • Small Rooms
  • Networks
  • Skins
  • Card Rooms Dealing Gin
  • Major Poker Rooms

There seem to be two poker rooms that rise above the rest in terms of player traffic and promotions. One room has a line-up of WSOP winners promoting the room, and has gathered a reputation as a "poker player's poker room". The other room invites people to just come for the party. Either room will offer tons of games, high dollar tournaments, player comps, and well, anything you could ask for.

Learn more about them by reading the Review of Poker Stars and the Review of Party Poker.

Other major online poker rooms that I've reviewed include:

Poker Room - known for their no-download games (which are Mac-friendly), these guys have been in the poker room busines since it first started.

Ultimate Bet has also garnered a reputation as a serious poker player's room. With a team of pro's working things behind the scenes, led by the stoic Phil Hellmuth, uBet offers a wide variety of games, and constant promotions.

Absolute Poker didn't start out as a major poker room. They started out small, and on their own (not part of a network), and just started doing all the right things. And they kept doing the right things, growing into the room they are now.

Full Tilt Poker is another room that started out on their own, and grew. Although these guys had the help of almost every seasoned professional they could get their hands on, including Jesus Ferguson, Phil Ivey, Howard Lederer, and dozens more.

    Mid-Sized Rooms

Sun Poker is part of the Cryptologic network of rooms. They do their own promotions though, and that has included a monthly bonus for all their players, both new and existing, since, well, forever. This has put Sun Poker on the list of room to regularly visit for a lot of poker players.

Interpoker is the poker arm of Intercasino. Both companies take things very seriously, offering secure, high-quality gaming experiences. Interpoker, like Sun Poker, also has offered monthly bonuses to their players for a long time. As a result, there are a lot of players that make sure they stop at Interpoker at least once a month.

Pacific Poker is the poker arm of Casino On Net, arguably one of the biggest online casino operations in the world. Their huge success didn't translate into the poker world, although Pacific has earned a reputation on its own. With so many casino players "just trying out" poker at the tables at Pacific, the room is known for its unusually soft games.

Poker.com has the easiest name to remember in the entire world of poker. And, they've taken that, along with their proprietary software to create a successful poker room. With innovative software, and a steady stream of freerolls and promotions, poker.com has become a solid poker room.

BodogPoker is part of the world famous Bodog gaming company. Bodog is involved with casino games and sportsbetting as well as poker, so be on the lookout for the "gambling types" at the tables.

Noble Poker is part of the iPoker network, also referred to as Playtech Poker. They are the ones who offer the bottomless bonus whoere players can continue to earn bonus money forever, without the need to redeposit. Simply keep playing, and they keep paying. Go Here for details.

Paradise Poker is the home of one of those $1,000,000 freerolls. And, the scene of some sportsbetting activity. Put two and two together on that and you'll find some fish at the tables.

Titan Poker is another of the rooms on the iPoker network. They are constantly working on innovative offerings, like their Jackpot Sit and Go tournament series, and the $100,000,000 freeroll event.

    Small Rooms

Doyle's Room is on the Tribecca Tables network of poker rooms. There are some interesting promotions at the room, including the chance to play against Doyle himself every Thursday Night. New players receive a free pass to the Thursday Night Bounty event where Doyle and his friends play every week.

Naked Poker is one of the more saucy poker sites on the internet. But, being dedicated to finding out the scoop on all the smaller poker rooms, I ventured into Naked Poker to see what I could see.

Come Out Poker is earning a name for itself. It certainly has been a much talked about room. I took some time to review the room, and separate the rumors from the reality.

Bugsy's Club makes the list of smaller rooms. They are associated with Poker Pages, and their poker school. So, you will find some beginning players, but you may be surprised at how seriously they are working on their game.

Superior Poker may be the official poker room of Canada. Ok, I'm joking, but a good number of folks from the Great While North play at Superior. This is one of the rooms that offer players a chance to win seats at major land-based events through a series of tournament where the buy-ins cost $.06. Or is it $.16? Either way, quite affordable.

Pitbull Poker is taking the hard road to get online. They are not part of a poker network, but instead have their own software. The room is trying to ramp up operations with a large welcome bonus, and lots of freerolls. They're also adding some neat features to their software, so it'll be interesting to watch them grow.

Jungle Poker is another room coming online, and they certainly qualify as a smaller room. I had the chnce to review this room "pre-launch" while they were just getting their systems up and running.

    Poker Networks

These are networks of poker rooms, that all share the same tables with each other. This way, the rooms have an eaiser time providing active tables to their visitors.

Cryptologic has a poker network that includes rooms like Interpoker and Sun Poker. There are other rooms on the network, and as I add reviews, or even overviews of them, I will list them here.

Playtech or iPoker as it is known in the corporate world, is the home of rooms like Titan and Noble. There are of course other rooms on this network as well. As I add reviews to the different Playtech/iPoker rooms, I will list them here.

    Prima Poker

Prima Poker Rooms were some of the first rooms to band together into a network. Prima rooms are powered by software created by microgaming, and I think they will someday be referred to as Microgaming Rooms.

    Poker Room Skins

Alright, there really isn't any difference between what I mean by a "network" of poker sites, and a room having a few "skins" of their sites. Well, except for quantity. I have seen two other rooms using the same software as Absolute, while prima has dozens of rooms online. I hesitate to refer to it as the Absolute Poker Network, so I'm listing these stray rooms here and there that borrow software from an established room as "skins".

    Absolute
GoalPoker was the first of the Absolute Poker skins I reviewed.

Vegas Poker 24-7 is one of the newest skins on the network. They offer a generous welcome bonus, and have a unique series of tournaments in addition to the offerings of the parent room, Absolute Poker.

    Ultimate Bet Skins - Excapsa
Upperclass Poker is probably the skin of absolute most worthy of mention. They are the official online poker room for the Aviation Club in France, site of a yearly World Poker Tour event. If you fancy a trip to Paris to play in that WPT tournament, Upperclass Poker is the online site you should turn to for satellites to the event.

The infamous PokerShare and Devilfish Poker are the other two uBet skins I have reviews for.

    Gin Rooms

The no download card room, Red Hot Rummy, is dealing Blackjack and Gin.
