Thunderluck Poker

Thunderluck Poker in Association with PokerTime

PokerTime is the prima poker room that is taking over the playerbase from 7 Sultans and Royal Vegas. And Royal Vegas Poker was once a sizeable room, probably the leading poker room on the entire network.

The Thunderluck website now displays a tag saying that they are working "in association" with PokerTime.

Date: May 9th, 2007.

Overview of the Room

Last Update: August 21st, 2006

On my visit to Thunderluck Poker, I get the feeling that the show is about to begin. Not the feeling that the show is in full swing and things are going smoothly.

What makes me say that you ask?

Well, this is the first poker room (since perhaps DevilFish Poker) that doesn't have a promotions page on their site. No welcome bonus, no player comp program, nothing. Kindof smells like a pre-launch thing. Or, maybe they just don't have any extra cash to use for things like . . . bonuses.

Searching around the site, I did click on the Leaderboard page to see what was going on at the room. The answer was nothing. That function will be available soon. Another checkmark in the "perhaps I should pass on this" column.

To be fair, I'm not a player there. But, there's little to entice me to become one. I would imagine they would have access to all of the happenings on the prima network, like the feature tournaments. but I would expect that to be about the end of it.

I would also expect that with prima powering the room, there shouldn't be any issues with things like deposits, fairplay, or withdrawals. It's just that these network-based poker rooms distinguish themselves by the additional promotions and services that they provide. Thunderluck Poker doesn't exactly shine in that area.

I would say that if you're looking to do some playing on the prima/microgaming network of poker rooms, there are a lot of better choices out there.
