Tell Poker

Overview of the Room

Last Update: August 21st, 2006

Tell Poker is another of the online poker rooms hoping to create a buzz, and gather up new players by offering a share of the poker room's profits to their members. I'm not sure how this idea would fly legally in the United States, but I'm not a lawyer, so I'll just let that potential problem slide.

Here's the company's words on the idea . . .

"TellPoker gives back up to 44% of their revenues, and 20% of the companys shares to their players. We have founded the company TellPlayers, that owns 20% of TellPoker. TellPlayers will be fully owned by our players, and the shares will be released during our first 1.5 years." They then go on to explain how to earn shares of the company. Basically, play at the poker room.

The room does offer a sign up bonus. It's tiered actually, so smaller deposits may warrant a $10 bonus while larger ones may warrant a $100 bonus. There is a play-through requirement, and they are clearly posted at the poker site.

I think the draw to this site is definitely the company revenue-sharing idea. If that's one that appeals to you, visit Tell Poker and read over what they have to offer new players. If, on the other hand, you just want to play some poker and aren't concerned with corporate ownership potential, there are other prima rooms that might be more to your liking.
