This is another one of those rare online poker rooms that doesn't have a page touting all of their promotions and player rewards. Which, immediately makes them odd. I'm sorry, let me scratch that. They do have a page about their promotions, but you have to click on a image that touts their tournaments to find it. I was expecting to find information on, well, tournaments.

The room does have a $50 welcome bonus for new players. The terms are a bit different than most rooms. Instead of requiring a particular amount of raked hands to be played, the condition is that the player must contribute at least the amount of the bonus in rake.

Oh, this sounds like a recipe for disaster here. From the terms page . . .

"In order to qualify for this offer, players must generate a Rake amount equal to or greater than that of the bonus amount received. For example if you receive a bonus for $50 then you will need to generate $50 in Rake before making a withdrawal."

"Players who attempt to cash-in amounts above and beyond their original purchase amount before reaching the Minimum Level of Play required may be locked from their accounts and barred from the Casino." [emphasis is mine].

Wait, further down the page we have this . . . "In order to redeem this offer, players need to contact support with the subject 25 % POKER WELCOME BONUS. The bonus will be credited to the players Poker Metro account within 30 mins of receiving this email"

"The welcome Bonus and Deposit may not be cashed in until the minimum level of play has been achieved, and must be put into play once received."

All those phrases together just make no sense at all.

I won't even get into it. Players tracking their own rake? Putting bonuses back into play after you earn them?

It all looks like terms for a casino bonus that just got copied over to a poker room. So, either the poker room needs to put a little more effort into their website, or they have the worst terms and conditions I've ever seen on any poker bonus. Either way, I'll be skipping over Poker Metro and easily finding better prima poker rooms to play at.
