Code Poker Review

Overview of the Room

Originally written: July 20th, 2006

Code Poker is a different kind of poker room. Instead of opening their arms to all players, regardless of whether they are recreational or more serious, Code Poker has targeted the type of player they'd like to have at their room. They set up their bonus to take care of Winning poker players.

The room has a program in place that is really pretty interesting. They have three tiers that players can find themselves in at the end of the month, depending upon the number of raked hands they played. The bottom tier is for players with 1,500 raked hands played, which is a couple of hours a week in play.

The top tier is for those with 10,000 raked hands. That's more like full-time play.

At the end of the month, the room will give you 50% of your monthly winning in bonus, up to a max amount. The higher the tier player you are, the higher the max. Lowest tier players can make an extra $300, top-tier players can make an extra $2,000.

The catch, you have to be a winning player! No bonus for spending 26 hours at the tables and breaking even.

Still, it's a very interesting idea. And, if you play a lot of poker, and do well at it, there's a lot of bonus money out there to be had by playing at Code Poker.
