Moneymaker Millionaire

Moneymaker Millionaire
$2.5 Million Poker Tournament

PokerStars is at it again. This time, they're upping the ante on the super-huge freeroll tournament scene. While other rooms like Paradise and Ultimate Bet have offeren $1,000,000 freeroll events, Poker Stars is reraising with the Chris Moneymaker Millionaire tournament. This freeroll event has a guaranteed prize pool of $2,500,000, the amount Chris took home when he won the WSOP main event in 2003.

The tournament qualifiers are running for five months, ending in December when 18 very happy players will be taken to the Bahamas for a three-table showdown.

Players make their way through three different rounds of play before reaching the finals.

Round One

The daily qualifier. Everyone gets a free pass to a daily qualifier, and yes, they take place daily. The top 50 players in daily qualifier tournaments get a pass to the next round. If you fail on your first free attempt to advance, you can buy into a daily qualifier again by using 10 Frequent Player Points (the comp points at PokerStars).

Round Two

There is only one way to make it into a round two event. You have to qualify by placing in a round one event. There is no direct buy-in to this level. tournaments for this level take place every Saturday afternoon at 2:00pm Eastern.

Round Three

This is the last stop before the Atlantis, and the big stage. Five or six players in each of these tournaments, which are held the first Sunday of the month at 2:00pm Eastern, will advance to the final tables. Prizes are paid out to 120 players in each of the round three tournaments, so it's not a win or go home empty-handed situation.

Final Tables

There will be three tables in the final event. The winner takes a $1,000,000 prize packacge that includes, if they'd like, an Aston Martin DB9 Volante. Trust me, it's a sweet ride.

Runner ups receive a week's stay at a top tier Caribbean Resort, an entry into the PokerStars Caribbean Adventure poker tournament, and cash. There is a total of $2.5 million being given away in the spectacular event.

The Moneymaker Millionaire freeroll poker tournament is certainly something worth looking into.
