For the past several years, Poker Stars has been hosting a poker tournament in the Caribbean. The 2007 poker season will mark the fourth time that this event takes place.

This year, the Atlantis Resort and Casino in the Bahamas will be the site of the event, which runs from teh 4th of January until the 11th.

Poker Stars will be running satllite events and qualifiers with the winners receiving a prize package that will give them a seat in the Caribbean Adventure tournament. The buy in for the event is worth $8,000. They also receive accomodations at the Atlantis (worth $3,000) and a food credit for $1,000. And on top of that, they receive $1,000 for travel or just plain spending. That puts the prize package at a cool $12,000.

Not only is this a cool tournament, it is a sanctioned World Poker Tour event. So, it brings with it all of the glitz and glamour that you'll find at a WPT final table. And that includes the cameras and television airtime.

If you are planning on taking a trip to the Bahamas at that time, there will be a chance to satellite your way into the event the night before. There are seats available for direct buy-in should you fail to qualify any other way.

The tournament will begin with two starting flights. The seats are closed once cards fly in the first flight.
