PokerRoom.com has a number of new promotions for existing
and new players in December of 2005. I'm outlining some of those
promotions on this page.
Team Tournaments Reload Bonus
PokerRoom.com is celebrating their new Team Tournaments by
offering a reload bonus this month. The deposit code is TEAMUP
and it's good for a 25% reload bonus worth up to $100. This bonus
code expires on December 15, 2005.
Cell Phone Blackjack
PokerRoom.com has offered blackjack for a while, but they're
really pushing the blackjack that's available on your cell phone
now. Their blackjack game is available on over 100 different cell
phone models too. If you like blackjack and spend much time on the
road with your cell phone, this might be something worth trying out.
Grand V Tournament
The big tournament at PokerRoom.com this month is the Grand V
Tournament. The winner of the last Grand Tournament won over
$134,000, which is quite a prize purse. This tournament runs on
December 17 and 18, and there are qualifiers going on Fridays that
only cost $5.00 + $0.50 to enter.
New Improved Software
I only play on the no-download version of PokerRoom.com
personally, because I think it's the "purest" way of playing there.
People have suggested that I try the download version, but I figure
that since Poker Room's biggest selling point is their no-download
software, I'd just stick with that. When I logged in last week to
play though, I couldn't believe my eyes. They've radically improved
the look and feel of their poker tables in the no download version,
and if you haven't played there since the change, you really owe it
to yourself to check out the new graphics.
Team PokerRoom
If you want to be a member of Team PokerRoom, qualifying
tournaments started on November 28. Team PokerRoom will be playing
at the World Poker Tour Championship at the Bellagio in Las Vegas in
April 2006, and the prize package is worth an estimated $27,900. You
can qualify for as little as $9. This is definitely worth checking
out.
