The Monstor Tournament from Party has a little bit of everything in it. There will be . .
♦ Thirty-two $100,000 WEEKLY Freerolls
The $100,000 Monster Weekly Freerolls will take place every Saturday for 32 weeks starting on Saturday, August 19, 2006 at 16:00 ET.
You can qualify for the $100,000 freeroll tournaments in one of several ways. Party is running Single-table qualifiers for (from $6 up to $215 buy-ins). They are also running multi-table qualifiers (with buy-ins starting at $6).
There is also a way to qualify by playing at the Bad Beat cash game tables.
When the Bad Beat Jackpot is hit at a table, all players who were dealt into that hand when the jackpot hit will receive two entries into a $100,000 Monster Weekly freeroll.
As an added bonus, when the Bad Beat Jackpot is hit, all players that are dealt into a hand on any of the jackpot tables of the same stake and game type will also win one entry into a $100,000 Monster Weekly freeroll of their choice.
♦ Eight $1 Million Monster MONTHLY Freerolls
The $1 Million Monster Monthly Freerolls are scheduled for the last Sunday of each month starting on Sunday, September 24, 2006 at 12:30 ET.
The top 1,000 players from each tournament will advance to the Monster Grand Final. The top nine finishers in each $1 Million Monster Monthly Freeroll will also qualify for the monthly offline TV events that will take place three weeks after each $1 Million Monster Monthly Freeroll.
♦ Monthly Offline Tournaments
The offline events will take place in these exotic locations:
- London: Late October, 2006
- South Africa: Late November, 2006
- Sydney: Mid-January, 2007
- Singapore: Late February, 2007
- Paris: Early March, 2007
- Germany: Early April, 2007
- Toronto: Early May, 2007
- Las Vegas: Mid-May, 2007
The Grand Final will take place in Rio de Janeiro in late June.
There are "Grand Finals" for both the online portion of the Monstor, and the offline portion of the series.
The top nine finishers in each $1 Million Monster Monthly Freeroll will also qualify for the monthly offline TV events that will take place three weeks after each $1 Million Monster Monthly Freeroll.
The Monster Grand Final Tournament
The Monster Grand Final Tournament will take place on June 16, 2007, and the final six online players from the Monster Grand Final will complete the tournament in South America. Like the monthly offline tournaments, the offline portion of the Grand Final will be televised as the final episode of the series.
