Online poker rooms are always trying to send as many players as they can to the big events at the World Series of Poker. Full Tilt is no different. In fact, they're doing the best they can to be represented well in Las Vegas this summer.
On Sunday, June 17th, Full Tilt is hosting a tournament that will guarantee that they will send at least 100 players to the big show. There will be a prize pool worth $1.2 million in prizes up for grabs in this Full Tilt Main Event. The top 100 finishers each receive a seat in the World Series Main Event, and $2,000 in spending money.
The Full Tilt tournament kicks off at 6 pm (ET), and should last well into the night. You can buy into the event directly for $535. Most players will probably qualify by winning a seat in a satellite event. Those events have buy-ins for as little as $4.40.
While many satellites award the golden ring for first place finishes only, this tournament doesn't. In fact, for those players who have the tendancy to finish well, but fall short of winning it all, this might be the best way to get to the big show in Vegas. Since the player who finishes 83rd receives the same prize as the chip leader at the tournament's end, players will be able to play a less risky style of poker and still receive the big prize.
