FTOPS VI
The sixth running of the FTOPS event featured 16 tournaments in a variety of poker games. Each event had a guaranteed prize pool associated with it, and was hosted by a professional poker player. We've recapped the events below.
FTOPS VI Results
Main Event - No-Limit Hold 'em - $2,000,000 guarantee
The Main Event of the FTOPS drew 4,371 players who each provided a $535 buy-in. That resulted in a prize pool of $2,185,500. That's better than the 2 million that Full Tilt was guaranteeing.
Any player finishing in the top 585 made the money. That includes a list of room pros, with Eddy Scharf finishing first amoung them in 22nd place. The top 4 finishers received over $100,000.

Event #15 - No-Limit Hold 'em Knockout
On Sunday there were two final tournaments. First was the No Limit "Knockout" tournament that drew an amazing 2,616 participants. That meant the prize pool was well in excess of the room guarantee, totalling $313,920.
The tournament paid out the top 153 places. The top 3 finishers took home over $30,000 each.

Event #14 - Pot Limit Omaha with Rebuys
The second tournament that went off Saturday was the PLO Rebuy event, hosted by Eddy Scharf. There were 983 players each vying for a piece of the $309,200. In the end, the top 90 finishers made the money.
the money list included several of the FT room pros this time. The lovely Clonie Gowen finished first amoung them, with a 10th place finish worth $3,199.
Other pros cashing were Steve Zolotow and PearlJammed who took home roughly $600 each for their efforts.

Event #13 - No-Limit Hold 'em - 2 day event
Saturday afternoon one of the ore prestigious events of the series started. It was the $2,620 buy-in, two day No Limit Hold'em tournament.
The room guaranteed $1,500,000 in prize money, making it one of the biggest prize pools in the series. It turns out that 698 players signed up for the event, pushig the prize pool up to $1,745,000.
After two days of play, the top 72 finishers were rewarded. Aaron Bartley, one of the room pros at Full Tilt was one of them. He cashed in 6th place for $78,525. Everyone finishing ahead of him made at least $100k.

Event #12 - Limit Hold 'em 6-Max
The Limit Hold'em event managed to draw over 1,000 players. The prize pool they generated through their $216 entries reached $211,400 which is slightly more than original room guarantee of $200,000.
Anyone placing in the top 120 made the money in this tournament. Included on the list of players who cashed were two room pros, PearlJammed and JJ Liu. Three different players took home better than $20,000.

Event #11 - H.O.R.S.E.
HORSE is obviously the event for the well-rounded card player. With a buy-in of $535 this event was aimed at the reasonably successful well-rounded player. It drew 623 different participants, who produced a prize pool of $311,500. The poker room was guaratneeing at least $250,000 in prize money.
The top 64 players got paid, and that list includes Full Tilt room pro Keith Sexton. The top 4 finishers each took home over $20,000 in prize money.

Event #10 - No-Limit Hold 'em 6-max Rebuy
This even drew over a thousand participants (1,162). With their entry fees, add-ons and rebuys, they produced a prize pool exceeding the Full Tilt guarantee of $750,000. In the end, there was $1,048,500 in prize money awarded to the top 144 players.
Amoung those players were room pros Marco Traniello and Jennifer Harman, who cashed for $1,992 and $1,677 respectively. The top finishers made $100,000 or better (roughly).

Event #9 - Pot Limit Omaha 8 or Better
Chris Ferguson hosted this event, which saw 1,331 players do battle. Since each of them brought $216 (including fees) to the tables, the prize pool grew past the $150,000 guarantee to reach $266,200.
The top 126 players were paid for their efforts. Amoung those placing in the money was room pro John Cernuto, who hosted the Stud Hi/Lo event on Sunday. He finished 13th, and took home $1,703 in prize money.
The top 3 finishers each won over $25,000.

Event #8 - $1,000,000 Guarantee - No-Limit Hold 'em 6-Max
went off last night.
With 1,332 players showing up for the event, the actual prize pool surpassed the room guarantee and totalled $1,322,000.
The top 216 players finished in the money, and that included two room pros from Full Tilt. JJ Liu cashed at 125th place, and Lynette Chan made it to 40th.

Event #7 - $1,000,000 Guarantee - No-Limit Hold 'em
was also held on Sunday afternoon.
Thousands of players showed up for this event. Four thousand, four hundred and sevety-five to be exact. They produced a total prize pool of $1,342,500 that was split between the top 582 finishers.
The only name in red on the list of money-winners was Max Pescatori. The happiest names on the list probably belong to the top 2 finishers who each eanred a small fortune for their efforts.

Event #6 - 7 Card Stud Hi/Lo
was held on Sunday afternoon.
Full Tilt was guaranteeing a prize pool of $25,000 for the tournament. With a field of over 800 players showing up, the actual prize pool was pushed to over $80,000.
The top 96 players made the money, and that list doesn't seem to include any of the room pros from FullTilt. Two players made better than $10,000 each.

Event #5 - No LImit Hold'em with Rebuys
also took place Saturday afternoon. Andrew Black hosted the tournament.
The buy-in was $109 including fee, and there were 1,600 players for the event. the rebuys and add-ons boosted the total prize pool to $460,800, which exceeded the room guarantee of $400,000.
Only 216 player qualified for payouts, and none of them seem to be room pros. The top place finishers earned paydays of over $35,000.

Event #4 - Pot Limit Omaha 6-Max
took place Saturday afternoon. David Benyamine was the celebrity host for the event.
With a higher buy-in ($535 including fees), the event drew 616 players in total. Still, that was enough to provide a prize pool that beat the room guarantee ($308,000 vs $300,000).
Only the top 84 players made the money, and this time a couple of the Full Tilt pros were on the payout list. Kenny Tran and MaxPescatori both made the $862.40 level. The top finishers took home over $25,000 each.

Event #3 - Pot Limit Hold'em
took place Friday night. New room pro "PearlJammed" hosted the event.
Close to 1,500 players showed up for the tournament, each paying a $216 fee (+ buy-in). Still, the overlay fairy showed up to make sure that the overall prize pool was at least the guaranteed amount of $300,000.
The event paid 216 places deep, and awarded the top finisher over $56k.

Event #2 - Razz
took place Thursday
Unlike the opening event of the series, this tournament drew more than enough players to push the prize pool to over double the size of the guarantee. The 679 players, who each ponied up $322 (including fees) gave birth to a $203,700 prize pool for the event.
The tournamnet paid those who finished in the top 80 places. The top 3 finishers each had a $20,000+ payday.

Event #1 - No-Limit Hold 'em 6max took place Wednesday, November 7th
It's hard not to feel funny saying this, but there were only 3,676 players in the event. So, during the very first event of the FTOPS the overlay fairy had to come out and add a little something to the prize pool to make the minimum guarantee.
The top 432 players made the money, with the top 3 each taking home over $50,000.
