Doyle's Poker Room Review

When it comes to poker faces that you can recognize, Doyle Brunson probably tops the list. So, it's not a big surprise that you can find Doyle's face fronting an online poker room. He's the personality behind Doyle's Room, one of the poker rooms on the Tribecca network of rooms.

Play against Doyle Brunson Online

Of course they have a series of promotions at the room, but my favorite is the . . . .

Play Online vs Doyle Brunson

That's right. Doyle shows up at the tables once a week, on a Thursday night, to play with regular people. And, when you sign up as a new player, you'll get one free pass to the tournament. After that you'll have to pony up the regular $55 buy-in, or get there via satellite.

And, Doyle is not the only pro at the tables for the event. They have Hoyt Corkins, Todd Brunson, Cindy Violette, Barry Greenstein, and one of my favorites, Mike Caro, the "Mad Genius" of Poker. Well, there are more pros and celebs than that, but you get the idea, some great poker players sit in at this game.

And while bracelets are the usual poker jewelry, Doyle's Rooom has a set of Championship Rings. They are made in the style of Superbowl rings, and I have to say, I think they're impressive pieces.

The rings are distributed as part of the Bounty Tournament promotion, and come in stainless for third place, solid silver for second, or solid gold for first place.

Other Tournament Action

The big weekly bounty event is certainly not the only game of note being hosted at the room. Every day they run a $20k guaranteed event, there are satellites to all the big land-based events (Aussie Millions, WPT tourneys, WSOP events, etc.), and more.

Bonuses and Comps

Along with the well developed line-up of events, there is a comp system at the room that is used to reward more active players with various perks and prizes.

There are a couple of different welcome bonuses to choose from. Depending upon the amount of time you plant o spend at the tables, a new player can choose between a max bonus of $550 a 50% sign up bonus, or a 25-35% sign up bonus. Check out their website for details.

The website also has an educational section, with over 50 web videos. Not all of the information covered is geared towards online poker, which oddly makes me respect it even more.

Overall

Doyle's Room has a lot of the ingredients that you'd find in a quality poker room. There is table selection, there is a nice selection of tournaments, they deal the basic games plus a few more exotic ones. There is a comp system in place, and generous welcome bonus (that includes a free pass to the Bounty Game with Doyle). In all, Doyle's Room has a lot to offer, and I give them a B+. From a picky grader like me, those are high marks.
