$50,000 HORSE Seat OfferSun Poker has been running a promotion for their regular players that takes the players with the highest amount of comp points for the period of time between December 1st and May 31st, and sends them to the WSOP. This is their "One Sick Promo" campaign.
Sun Poker - WSOP offers Just announced, they have decided that sending 100 players to the Main Event just isn't fair enough. So, they've added seats to the HORSE Event to the prize offerings. The $50,000 HORSE event is a mixed game event recently introduced to the WSOP. It is not only the highest buy-in event at the Series, the mixed-game format appeals to many of the more experienced pros. Instead of having to battle through thousands of players of varying skill levels, the HORSE event has a more exclusive roster. H.O.R.S.E. stands loosely for Hold'em, Omaha, Razz, Stud, and Stud Hi-Lo. Having to play each of these games at a high level is very demanding, and the top pros feel that this event really separates the best players from the rest of the pack. So, what do you need to do to earn a free pass to this event? Any player who accumulates 50,000 MPPoints at Sun Poker is given a pass to a very exclusive satellite event. The winner of the satellite gets the chair. Adam Smirnis, Poker Room Manager at SunPoker, had this to say. “With the crowding of the Main Event, players are looking for other outlets to prove themselves as players. For the top professionals, the H.O.R.S.E. event is the equivalent of what the Main Event used to be before it got so big. We feel that the prestige of this event will draw the bigger Internet players to our site to see if they can qualify for the satellite. And although 50,000 MPPs seems like a daunting number, 22 players have already reached that number since December 1st. Since the promotion lasts a full six months, players who log on regularly should all have a chance to reach the mark.”
