She used to be well-known for hosting a show about video games
for EB Games, but she's recently taken over as the official World
Poker Tour spokesmodel from Shana Hiatt. Like everyone else, I was
disappointed to see Shana leave, but I can't imagine anyone being
better qualified to take over that role than Courtney Friel. If
you've seen photos of her, then you know what I mean.
About Courtney Friel
She's originally from Philadelphia, where she grew up forcing her
friends and family to let her interview them on camera. She got her
big break on television when she went to work in Jackson, TN as a
news anchor and reporter. That position made minimum wage in Jackson
at the time, and her first day of live reporting, a deadly tornado
destroyer large sections of the town, including Courtney's car.
Since then she's been a freelance correspondent for television
shows as diverse as America's Most Wanted, E! News Live, and
Trackers.
