Setmining 101 is the first in a series of articles on the process of playing small and medium pocket pairs in hopes of landing a set and hauling in a big pot.
The new series of articles from Unknown Poker will concentrate on betting. Each bet says something about what a player has, or doesn't have. Internet poker and traditional casino poker are coming together with the help of a company named Pokertek. They're creating electronic, dealerless poker tables that several land-based casinos are using to deal more games, faster. These automated poker tables may be showing up in more places now that there's a model that can bring heads-up poker play to the live casino setting.

Goal Poker announced an arrangement with the upcoming Johnny Chan Invitational Tournament to provide satellites to the island event. The tourney is being held on Turks and Caicos, so busting out early would hardly be a heartbreak. Cards fly for 8 days, starting on the 9th of September.

Browsing the web, I realized that there is a ton of free Poker Videos on the Web. Not the instructional DVD's you see advertised, but everything from professional poker "shows" to home grown poker videos addressing everything from how to do chip tricks to strategy, to you name it. Heads Up Poker Strategies
The difference between first place prize money, and second place prize money can be a great deal. In the 2005 WSOP it was over $3,000,000.
