One of the things that I like about Absolute Poker are their
ongoing promotions and bonus offers. I think it would be hard to run
an online poker room and come up with interesting and unusual poker
promotions to interest new poker players and keep your existing
players interested and excited, but whoever is in charge of this at
Absolute Poker is good at it.
My intention with this page is to keep the old promotions up for
historical purposes, and have the newer promotions added toward the
top of the page, although I might just archive the old promotions. I
haven't decided yet.
$250,000 Freeroll - June 24th
Absolute is growing, and you can tell by the amounts of cash they are putting back into their players rewards/marketing efforts. Now, they've hit the Quarter Million Dollar mark with a headline grabbing freeroll event.
Much like the Million Dollar events from Paradise and uBet, Absolute is now throwing up some serious cash in a freeroll event that will be played on Saturday, June 24th at 5pm ET (10pm London time).
First place takes home $50,000 which is a good payday, especially considering the entry fee.
Players are given one free chance to qualify for the finals. Qualifiers are being run every day, several times a day. Once players have used their free chance at qualifying, they can earn another chance at qualifying by spending time at the tables. So, in short, regular players will be given plenty of chances to qualify for the final event.
I like these promotions because they give every player a chance at a really nice prize, plus, they also reward the room regulars as well. Everyone gets a little piece of the action.
May 2006 Sign Up Bonus
This is not a misprint - $750! And that's a 100% of deposit bonus, which is about as good as it's going to get. I've never seen an established room offer such a large welcome bonus to their new members. Period. One of the promotions that is currently going on at Absolute is
their 200 Millionth Hand promotion, where you can win a trip to
Costa Rica. The trip includes airfare and 6 nights' accommodation,
and is open to all real money players until the 200 Millionth hand
is dealt. There are going to be other prizes for other hands as part
of the promotion, and the details on those follow:
- 199,980,000th hand - The person who wins this hand
gets an Absolute Poker polo shirt and hat, and $500 cash. The
other players at the table get $100 and an Absolute Poker
ballcap.
- 199,990,000th hand - Same prize package as above.
- 200,000,000th hand - This is the trip to Costa Rica
for the winning hand. You also get a ballcap and shirt, and the

Late Night Madness
This promotion only applies to players playing $2/$4 or higher,
and it goes on from 2am EDT until 6am EDT. Every hour, Absolute

Cracked Aces
For the rest of the month of October, if your aces get cracked at
a $1/$2 table or higher at a Texas Holdem game, you automatically

Fire Fighters and Police Officers' Appreciation Promotions
Existing players who are fire fighters or police officers qualify
for a 50% reload bonus up to $100.
